Currently, I am participating in the MLH x Meta Production Engineering Fellowship.
The Meta Production Engineering Fellowship is a 12-week summer program that gave me hands-on experience in production engineering (also known as Site Reliability Engineering) alongside Meta engineers.
Developed and maintained Afkanerd Android mobile applications, specifically RelaySMS and DekuSMS. Maintained documentation for features and contributed to open source implementations.
Integrated Slack as a third-party platform for the SMS Without Borders (SWOB) apps[cite: 1]. Built the official blog website for Afkanerd.
Contributed to the front-end design and development of a template-driven documentation website for Open Source best practices recommended by UNICEF, improving its accessibility to the top 90%. Supported eight Open Source projects managed by different teams.
Worked on automatic code formatting and style checking for RTEMS Supercore. Added standalone scripts and git commit hooks to create reports about style problems and check patches before committing.
Developed a proof-of-concept implementation to link sources with SPDX headers to output files for the Yocto Project. Examined the accuracy of license tagging and reported a 90% increase in licenses during each release.
